Research Interests:

I work on the ecological and evolutionary implications of saltwater - freshwater transitions in Arctic marine microbial eukaryotes. I my research interest is on selecting genera found in both marine and freshwater systems in the Arctic and the exploration of biogeography and phylogeny of key genes. Planktonic communities will be studied under several conditions (salinity, light exposure, nutrients sources, level of carbon dioxide and toxicity). Moreover, high throughput technologies and recent molecular techniques (bioinformatics, metatranscriptomics and next generation sequencing) will be use to analyse large data sets and to be able to answer important questions about Arctic microbial eukaryotes communities. Furthermore, during my PhD in oceanography, I will have the chance with my project to go on field and sampled in different location sites in the Arctic Ocean (Eastern and Western Hudson Bay, Cambridge Bay and the top of Ellesmere Island) during summer 2017.
