Professional skills

Monitoring of plankton dynamics and physiology including: zooplankton and phytoplankton taxonomy
High pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) to analyze various organic and inorganic compounds including pigments and fatty acids in biological samples
Flow-cytometry analysis for bacterio- and picophytoplankton abundances

Culturing fish, zooplankton and phytoplankton for ecotoxicological impact assessment of various contaminants, including cyanotoxins
Maintenance and management of HOBO® temperature loggers
Water chemistry analyses, including usage of the Lachat nutrients analyzer
Preparation of environmental impact assessments (EIA) for investments possibly affecting aquatic habitats (lakes, wetlands and rivers)
Designing systems for carbon flux and emission monitoring in lakes, wetlands and wastewater stabilization ponds
Experience in DNA/RNA sequences data analysis (MEGA 6.06, NCBI/BLAST)
