Supervisor : Dr. A. Rochon

2002-2003 Master in Biology of Population and Ecosystems –CREPUQ
Université Paris XI (Orsay, France)/Université Laval (Québec City, Canada).

1999-2002 Bachelor’s Degree in Biology of Organisms specializing in animal biology. Université Paris XI (Orsay, France)

Research Interests:

Paleoceanography/Paleolimnology
Reconstruction of past environmental and climatique conditions using a variety of microfossil proxies and biomarkers found in sediment from terrestrial (pollen, spores, diatoms) or marine (dinoflagellate cyst, diatoms, IP25) origin.

Ongoing Research:

Evolution of modern dinoflagellate cyst (=dinocyst) assemblages from St Lawrence Gulf and Estuary.
I intend to document the importance of the ecological changes in the dinocyst assemblages from the gulf over the last 20-25 years. I am going to compare surface sediment samples from the GEOTOP dinocyst database retrieved in the 1990's and samples retrieved in 2015. In addition, I will analyze a 2015 short sedimentary sequence to document the impact of these changes on the palaeoceanographic reconstructions using the method of modern analogs (MAT).
